Lefty's Wossname - the British version this one is suitable for dusk/night fishing
This lure was developed from a half-remembered pattern in Lefty
Kreh's
book Fly fishing in salt water. When I finally recovered my copy after it
had been lent around a large circle of angling chums I discovered that:
- It's called the Seaducer.
- It was developed by Chico Fernandez.
- He ties it even fuzzier than I do.
By that time we'd been using the pattern successfully for over a year and
the name has
stuck.

Chico Fernandez' Seaducer This works in British waters too.
Tying:
- Hook:
- Sizes 4 and 2 are most useful but it can be any size, this works best without lead.
- Tail:
- Long neck or saddle hackles colour to suit, we use white at night other
colours by day.
- Flank:
- A contrasting badger or grizzle hackle can be used to suggest the body.
- Hackle:
- Several cock hackles extending forward from about level with the hook
point, tied over wet varnish, colour to suit.

Another Lefty's Wossname this one is intended for daytime fishing
